Maroondah BUG is a Bicycle User Group whose aim is to encourage cycling in and around the City of Maroondah, Melbourne, Australia. You can find out more about us on the About Us page.

Maroondah has a population of about 99,000 and a bicycle density of 0.4 to 0.5 bicycles per person, therefore Maroondah contains about 45,000 bicycles. How many of these are only being used as homes for spiders?

Cycling is a great way to see some of the beauty of Maroondah; its tree-lined streets and paths, picturesque creeks, rolling hills and lots more. So dust off your bike and go for a ride - it's also fun, good exercise and a practical and environmentally-friendly way to get to local destinations.
